Day 88 - A delivery of the good stuff

The girlfriend has excelled herself here! She has not only provided two bars of the good stuff but she has also drawn a picture of me to ensure that my ego is still intact. What a darling!

Day 87 - Marathons

Work is pretty full on at the moment and when this mini-crate of Snickers arrived in the office, it made so much more sense why they used to be called 'Marathons'.

My mum taught me that you should never take women's chocolate. So, I didn't not maybe possibly have five!

Day 86 - The early train

A bonus of getting into work early is that you have a quiet commute, with no 'awkward-falling-on-the-random-person-next-to-you-with-your-mouth-open' moments! I can happily spread out and take spooky empty platform photos...

Day 85 - B-B-B-Brooklyn Nets

I saw my first Basketball game at the Barclay's Centre in Brooklyn today. I love live sport in America. They turn each game into such an event. After hearing that one of their players was 7 foot 7", I think I can say goodbye to any sort of a career in basketball. I wonder how big his... shoes are!

It was also the first time that I have been to see a a team from NY that wins. Bonus!

Day 84 - BIG DADDY!

Just a relaxed Saturday today with Uni work. I did treat myself to the Big Daddy Breakfast at Big Daddy Diner. Innovative naming! I think I might need to get back on the diet train soon otherwise I will be the big one.

Day 83 - Dancing with 93 year old's in a tuxedo

I was invited to the 117th Annual Dinner Dance for The British Schools and Universities Club of New York at 3 West Club tonight. It was a black tie event and I did not really know what to expect. As I made the most of the open bar and mingled with what seemed like the cast of Downton Abbey I began to relax a bit.

We were truly spoilt the whole night. Thick rump steak, lashing's of wine and candy at multiple intervals. To be honest though, I think the candy was just left over from Hallowe'en! At each table there was one chair that had a penny tapped under the seat pillow. Whoever was sat at this chair was awarded the table flowers. Nice touch.

The dancing was a challenge to say the least. Although, I like to class myself as a Justin Timberlake mirror image, I unfortunately do not have the waltz in my portfolio. Not to worry though, my 93 year old dance partner was more than willing to show me the steps. Very impressive!

Day 82 - Red Sky at night; shepherds delight

The prior night we had blizzard conditions and temperatures that were in the minus! This evening we had this beautiful sunset to gaze over.

The RBS office certainly has their next postcard picture sorted out!
