Today was the day that America practically shutdown for the Superbowl. This years contest featured the San Francisco 49ers versus the Baltimore Ravens. To watch it, we went to Finnerty's on 2nd Av and 14th street, a San Francisco style sports bar. Due to impeccable organisation from a fellow MB, he had arranged for a keg at our table so we didn't have to move. I am not sure that the 'true' 49ers fans were as happy that we had the best seats in the house. I'm only saying this because, we were asked quite a few times how did we get the seats or do we know what was going on. To both we replied, "not a clue".
Unfortunately though, the 49ers lost. Fortunately, Beyonce's half time show was insane and I am in no way ashamed to say how good that was. Definitely worth a watch on YouTube if you haven't seen it. You should also check the play when a Ravens player runs the length of the pitch from the kick off. Equally as insane!
