Day 254 - "Ya gatta go to Katz"

As our hop on, hop off bus tickets were due to expire today, we decided to make the most of them and brave the weather. After all we did have incredibly attractive yellow bin bags to wear!

After a thorough drenching, we got off at the New York institution that is Katz restaurant at 205 E Houston Street. The insanely famous pastrami sandwich was fantastic, especially as we partnered it with a Knish, a sort of potato cake covered in batter and a beer. However, the price was slightly higher than expected. Mike's face in picture five will explain all.

Afterwards, we went to walk our sandwich's off over Brooklyn Bridge. Hitting the bridge at rush hour was probably not the wisest decision, especially for two meandering tourists.

The last few days have been brilliant. I have ticked off a few more places that I haven't been to you yet and in the nicest possible way made another V.I.P, say that they wish they didn't have to go home. It is crazy to think that my bubble is soon to burst as well, in little over three months. Surreal feeling.
