Day 269 - Yankees Corporate

As a thank you from Thomson Reuters for volunteering to help develop the app for the Women's Refugee Commission, we were taken out for an evenings entertainment at the New York Yankees. However, they were not just any old tickets. They were tickets for their suite!

As we entered into the formidable venue that is Yankees Stadium, we were provided with trays of chocolate covered strawberries and pink champagne. Great start.

We were then escorted to our box or 'suite' as they liked to call it. For a secret fat boy, it was paradise. For example, there was an unlimited array of beer to choose from, an authentic hot dog machine, huge vats of pretzels and to top it all off a dessert cart, serving 'candy' in mini Yankees baseball caps.

After attending the baseball a few weeks ago, at exactly the same venue and not being totally enamoured by it, I can happily say that I have definetly got a soft spot for it now. Before you think it, this has absolutely nothing to do with the hospitality, it was the game. The Yankees got three touch downs and weren't offside once!
