Day 266 - Stage Escort for the DBE

After a full days worth of revision, James squared and I headed out to the Downtown Marriott for a banquet on behalf of the outgoing administration of the Daughters of the British Empire.

Essentially playing the role of stage escort, James and I led the outgoing National President, Vicki Downey to and from the stage. When it came to the time for the entertainment to start, I had the privilege of leading Iris Williams to and from the stage. I first heard Iris sing at the St. David's ball a month or so ago. Outdoing herself once more, she not only sang beautifully but put the entire room in fits of laughter through her Welsh inspired wit.

I am getting pretty used to throwing on my penguin suit at the moment. Originally thinking that I will only wear it once at the roll out ceremony, I am averaging two occasions a month. When in New York I guess!

With regards to the cute couple at the bottom, I promised their owner that I would post their picture to my blog. They have come all the way from Texas and are currently on a tour throughout New York. May I say as well, they both have fantastic dress sense!
